Conner Picks Up First Offer

One of the top linebacker prospects in the state of Indiana picked up his first offer on Thursday.

Fort Wayne (IN) Carroll LB Dylan Conner picked up his first offer on Thursday during a visit to Ball State.

”First of all, I’m thankful for the opportunity given to me by Ball State to come into a great program and school,” Conner said. “Secondly, I’m grateful for all of the people that helped me to get here including my parents, friends and coaches.”

Conner, a 6-0 205 LB, had a great visit on Thursday that culminated in him receiving the offer.

”I visited Ball State today and was given the opportunity to tour the campus and facilities,” Conner said. “I was also able to meet the coaches and go over film with my position coach. At the end of my visit I talked with the head coach Pete Lembo and at the end of our discussion he offered. I thought that the campus was really nice. Everything is close together and whatever you need is within a mile of the dorms. It just felt like home to me, coming from the Fort Wayne area it’s very similar down there. I was impressed by the facilities. They were very nice. I especially liked the layout of the football training complex, although they are renovating and making a new complex. All in all it was an awesome visit to say the least.”

Former Carroll player and current Ball State signee Blake Yager is already recruiting his former teammate to join him at Ball State.

”We talked a little about it,” Conner said. “He told me he'd love to see me play with him there in a couple years.”

For the time being, Conner still has his options open, including an upcoming visit to Toledo.

”I was invited to the Toledo junior day,” Conner said. “I was supposed to go two weekends ago, but it got cancelled due to weather conditions. I may visit this upcoming weekend though.
