Illinois OL Visits Ball State

Doug Kramer visited Ball State, who he has an offer from, this past weekend for the first time.

Hinsdale Central (IL) Interior Offensive Lineman Doug Kramer paid a visit to Ball State, a school that has offered the 6-2 270 OG, for this first time this weekend.

”It was actually really awesome,” Kramer said. “I went into it not knowing what to expect because this was my first visit, and I was really impressed with the campus and the facilities. Also the coaches were awesome, I got to learn their mindsets, so it was a very successful day.”

Not only was it a successful day for the Illinois OL, but also a busy one.

Kramer, who is also receiving interest from several Mid-American Conference schools, Ivy League schools as well as Michigan State, Illinois, Purdue, Iowa State, Duke, Northern Iowa, Oregon and Army, plans on making the rounds this summer and hitting up several college camps along the way.

”Summer plans would be Illinois camp, Northwestern camp, Villanova camp, Oregon camp,” Kramer said. “And then that could change depending on other schools that contact me.”

With a great visit and scholarship offer in hand, one might think that Kramer is considering committing, but that is not something he plans on doing for a while still.

”I have considered it and it's a great option that I could see myself taking,” Kramer said. “But as of now I want to wait to keep my options open.”
