Conrad Talks Ball State Offer

Ball State offered one of the top, under-the-radar TE prospects in the state of Ohio this past week.

Austin Conrad, a 6-3 230 TE from LaGrange, OH (Keystone) picked up his first offer this past week from Ball State.

”It is extremely relieving and exciting,” Conrad said. “Coach (Joey) Lynch stopped by my school on Wednesday. Then on Thursday, he messaged me and told me to call him. He then offered me over the phone.”

Conrad, who has been a standout on both sides of the ball for Keystone, is being recruited as a flex/hybrid TE.

”I play TE/H-Back as well as DE/OLB,” Conrad said. “Ball State offered me as a TE/H-Back. I have pretty solid ball skills and I like to think that my size helps me be a physical player.”

Aside from the offer from the Cardinals, Conrad is also hearing from Toledo, Bowling Green, Akron, Kent, Air Force and Miami.
