“Champion” QB Picks Ball State

With one state championship in hand and looking for another, Loveland’s QB picks his college destination.

When Loveland (OH) High School Coach Fred Cranford Tweeted out the news of his QB, Drew Plitt, committing to Ball State, he used words like “champion” and “winner” to describe his player.

”One of my main strengths is being a leader,” Plitt, the 6-3 200 QB said. “Even as a sophomore (when he led Loveland to a state title) I believe that the older guys looked up to my work ethic and how I never give up.”

Plitt, who chose Ball State over offers from Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan and Lafayette, stated that among the things that drew him to Ball State was his ability to study his major of choice – graphic and apparel design.

”It just felt like the right place for me,” Plitt said. “I felt that I could have a great career there while studying what I wanted to study.”

With his decision on schools out of the way, Plitt can now focus all of his energy on his main goal for the upcoming season.

”Win another State Championship.”
