Ball State Cardinal Commitment Capsule

Who: Dylan Koch

Vitals: 6-5 225 TE from Plainfield (IL) East

Other offers: Wyoming

Breakdown: Koch is a long and athletic TE prospect. He excelled in a run-first offense by being an effective blocker. He is not afraid of contact and works to the whistle. He had good hand placement and keeps his feet moving. Not yet an overpowering blocker, his 6-5 frame is perfect to hold another 30 pounds without losing too much athleticism. Despite not being involved in the passing attack a great deal, Koch did catch 14 passes for 252 yards. He has solid hands and moves fluidly and athletically. He runs solid routes and will put his head down for extra yards after the catch.

Projection:Koch’s best football is ahead of him. He will benefit from a redshirt year in which he can added much needed weight and muscle. A blocking first guy right now, Koch looks like a solid athlete that can round into an all-around TE prospect that can be a threat in the passing game while also serving as a blocker.
