Who: Drew Plitt
Vitals: 6-3 200 from Loveland, OH (Loveland)
Breakdown: Plitt is an intangible heavy guy but also a solid QB. He is a proven winner that has guided his high school to a state crown as just a Sophomore. Plitt is a genuine leader that is a calming presence in the huddle and the kind of guy you want leading your offense. Athletically, Plitt is also blessed with a solid skill set as a QB. He has an above average arm and is accurate in tight spaces and can also air it out over the top of a defense. You can tell that Plitt has been coached well and has solid footwork and mechanics. Not an overwhelming athlete, but has the ability to move in the pocket while keeping his head down field and making plays with his arm. Plitt also is fast enough to get some yardage when the plays breaks down and he is forced to run.
Projection: Plitt will be battling with incumbent QB Jack Milas and Freshman to be Riley Neal from the get-go at Ball State, but don’t think that Plitt will be okay with just being a backup for his career. Look for him to push the upperclassmen and demand to see the field.Plitt's Junior Highlights
