Larsen Commits to Ball State

Ball State started its string of commitments this weekend with the addition of a S from Ohio on Friday night.

Mitchell Larsen knew it the moment he stepped on the Scheumann Stadium field turf. Once he had the offer in hand, it was only a matter of days before Larsen, a 6-0 170 S from Fairfield, OH committed to Ball State and Coach Pete Lembo.

” The integrity of Ball State football program,” Larsen said as to why he chose the Cardinals over offers from Bowling Green and Morehead State. “I've been to a lot camps this summer, and at Ball State, I just had a totally different feeling when I walked on the field. I also loved working with Coach (Daryl) Dixon, he's a great coach. Now I can focus on my senior year at Fairfield Senior high on the upcoming season and help my team win a championship.”

Larsen, a hard hitting student of the game at safety, was only able to get a small amount of the campus while he was at camp but plans to head back soon.

” I got a chance to tour Ball State for about 30 minutes after camp,” Larsen said. “I met most of the defensive staff, but I'm expecting to visit again after the NCAA dead period so I can meet the rest of the staff, and my mom gets to see the school.”
