Ball State Cardinal Commitment Capsule

Who: Chris Beech >

Vitals: 6-2 288, OC, Kettering (OH) Archbishop Alter

Other offers: Army, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Navy

Breakdown: Beech is a sound and athletic center that makes up for his lack of size with a great skill set. He is what a team like Ball State likes to see in a center. He is quick with his hands and has great feet. He is able to accurately snap in both the shotgun and under center and still make his blocks effectively. Exhibits great pad level on run plays and gets “under” his guy to bully them out of the way. He is solid is pass pro and effective at seeking and helping out his teammates. Beech works well pulling and working to the second level, he also is effective at selling and getting out in the screen game and finding someone to hit.

Projection: Beech has a high ceiling in my opinion. He has the skills and athleticism to be solid center at the MAC level. His ability to get out in the open field and also be stout in the run game will benefit the Cardinals offense greatly.
