McGee Picks Ball State After Visit

Ball State added a commitment on Monday when JC DE/OLB Reggie McGee committed.

Just one trip to Ball State was all it took for Reggie McGee to pick the Cardinals as his college choice.

After visiting this past weekend, McGee consulted his family and mulled over the decision before selecting Ball State.

"I've been thinking about it," McGee said. "I've talked to my Mom and really prayed on it and felt as though it was the best fit for me."

McGee, a 6-2 240 DE/OLB, played the past season at Hartnell College in California. He was in talks with Utah State, Wyoming, California, Georgia Southern, Alabama State and Albany State before committing to the Cardinals, who were the first to offer him.

McGee is a speed/edge guy who excels at getting to the quarterback, but can also drop into coverage. McGee posted 15 sacks and 21 tackles for a loss while posting 52 total tackles in 11 games last season.
