Givan Gives Cardinals Commitment

Michigan WR/TE de-commits from Fordham, gives Ball State his commitment

Berkley (MI) WR Nolan Givan committed to Ball State and new Head Coach Mike Neu on Sunday during his visit to Muncie.

Givan, who had been committed to Fordham since May, de-committed on Sunday and a few hours later pledged to the Cardinals.

”It was a great visit,” Givan said. “I got to meet a lot of the players and experience the school. I felt really good and comfortable there.”

Givan, a 6-4 225 TE/WR, committed to Ball State over several other offers including UTEP, Air Force, and Temple.

”I loved the facilities and I like that I get to play offense in a great, competitive conference,” Givan said. “I felt really cool with all of the players and I’m excited about Coach Neu and his vision.”

Speaking of that offense, Givan’s skill set will be a great asset to add more diversity to that side of the ball.

”I think I can be a threat in the passing game and in the run game,” Givan said. “I think I am a good blocker and I feel like I run great routes and have good hands so I can create mismatches and confuse the defense.”
