Givan brings the tools to cause tons of havoc for defenses in the MAC.

Ball State Cardinal Commitment Capsule

Who: Nolan Givan >

Vitals: 6-2 223, Berkley, MI (Berkley)

Other offers: Fordham, Austin Peay, Southern Illinois, Illinois State, Lafayette, Temple, Bryant, Princeton, Valparaiso, Army, Colgate, Youngstown State, Air Force, UTEP

Breakdown: Givan is an exciting prospect. He has the size to play TE and the speed to play WR. As a TE, he will be best served as a flex TE or H-back who can get out in space against overmatched LBs or smaller Safeties. As a WR, Givan has the size to be a solid deep threat and is too big for DBs to handle. Givan can block, and will do so well, but his true effectiveness will be as a pass catcher and a player that will cause issues for defensive coordinators.

Projection: Givan reminds us of a more athletic Zane Fakes, which is saying something because Fakes was a solid athlete. Givan’s ability to be a major asset in the passing game will pay dividends quickly for Coach Mike Neu and the Ball State offense. He will cause issues for defenses and be a major asset for Ball State OC Joey Lynch.
