Indianapolis DE Loves Experience in Muncie

Ball State welcomed an Indianapolis Area DE in for an unofficial visit on Monday.

There wasn't a bad thing that Indianapolis Bishop Chatard DE David Marsh cold say about his visit to Ball State on Monday.

"It was great I loved every second," Marsh said. "(It) Reminds me of home."

Marsh, an under-the-radar 6-4 250 DE from one of the powerhouse programs in Indiana, holds an offer from the Cardinals and took a lot away from the new coaching staff, which has the Cardinals on track to regain its status of a Mid-American Conference Power.

"I know that the new staff means new opportunities," Marsh said. "I know they want the program to go back to how it was in the 90's and 2000's. I know that they can do that and they are great coaches."

During his trip to Ball State, Marsh had an opportunity to take in a tour of the facilities and also had a chance to talk to some of the staff.

"We started off looking at the football facility and went around and looked at all the offices," Marsh said. "Then they took me around campus and showed me the area. Then I came back and looked at the football field and then talked to (Head) Coach (Mike) Neu and (Defensive Line) Coach (Keith) Mckenzie about my spot on the team and what they are looking for in me. I loved everything about it."

Marsh, who is also hearing from Boston CollegePurdue, Indiana, Bowling Green and Miami (OH), has the size, athleticism and, as he points out, the intangibles to be a stellar DE in college.

"I'm very aggressive and I love the sport of football very much," Marsh said. "I want to join a winning program and that's what I think Ball State is heading towards. I'm a hard worker and I want to do my best to win."
