"I got the news from Coach (Kyle) DeVan," Dassow said. "My thoughts on Ball State is that it is a very nice school, and I really like Coach DeVan, because he seems like he really cares about his players and I am sure that that's how it is for all of the coaches too."
Dassow, who is 6-6 295, noted that he has an extra tie to the Ball State program.
"I do follow them because an offensive lineman from Hamilton, my high school, just started going there," Dassow said. "Andrew Poenitsch (who is up for the starting C position), so that is a big connection to the school for me."
"Recruiting wise there is, Michigan State, Michigan, Nebraska, Central Michigan, Western Michigan, Wyoming, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Northwestern, Northern Illinois, Colorado State," Dassow said. "And a ton of one 1-AA schools."
Along with his size, Dassow has a lot to offer college coaches looking for talented OLine players.
"I am a very aggressive, hardworking and passionate player," Dassow said. "When I get on the field, I turn into an angry person who will win every battle. I bring my hardworking, persevering, team-comes-first attitude along with my ability to achieve my full potential, to a football program."
