Sacramento (CA) Christian Brothers QB Tyler Vander Waal picked up an offer from Ball State during a visit to the Indiana school.

When I asked Vander Waal about his offer here is what he had to say.

“It means a lot being my first D-1 full ride," Vader Waal said. "And the visit was really fun and the coaches were very genuine and easy to talk to.”

Vander Waal had plenty more to say about his visit at Ball State.

“It was great there. I went to the camp, and then Coach (Joey) Lynch took me around to see the facilities” Vander Waal Said. “I sat down and talked to almost every coach, and then I sat down with Head Coach (Mike) Neu, and he told me they wanted to offer, but wanted to wait and watch some film.”

When asked about what sticks out with Ball State he had a lot of good to say.

“I really like how genuine the staff is, I connected with the whole staff even the O-Line coach. The staff seems very intelligent, and I feel like I would fit well into Coach Lynch’s Offensive scheme.” Vander Waal also added that the campus is “breathtaking.”

Vander Waal doesn’t know if he will be able to make it to Muncie again since he is out West and wants to focus on his Senior season, but he does want to make it out for an Official Visit.

Vander Waal does not have a decision date in mind yet, he wants to try to go to all the camps he can this summer, and get as much exposure as he can. Some other schools Vander Waal is looking at are: Sacramento State, Montana, Wyoming, Utah.

Tyler Vander Waal is a name every Ball State fan should keep an eye on, as it looks like Vander Waal is very interested in Ball State and Ball State is very interested in Vander Waal.
