Ball State among offers for Ohio DE/OLB

One of the top, up and coming pass rushers in the State of Ohio updates us on his recruiting

Kings Mills (OH) Kings OLB/DE Dan Sichterman has already collected an impressive list of offers and may be far from finished.

"I have offers from Ball State, Air Force, UConn, Fordham, Holy Cross, Cornell, Columbia, Eastern Kentucky, Davidson, Youngstown State, Robert Morris, UT Martin, Appalachian State, Mercer, and Furman," Sichterman said. "I have just started getting offers over the past few months though. I'm also getting recruited by a few Big Ten schools, Mid-American Conference Schools, and others."

Among those offers is Ball State, a school that Sichterman has already visited.

"The distance away from Cincinnati is very manageable and I know Coach (Mike) Neu is going to do great things at Ball State," Sichterman said. "I had visited prior to my offer and I liked what I saw."

The 6-3 235 pass rusher is being recruited by programs as either a DE or OLB. Sichterman doesn't really have a preference.

"It doesn't matter to much to me," Sichterman said. "I have been recruited at both. I think the staff at Ball State wants me at DE. I like outside rushing at either position."

Aside from being a pass rushing machine, Sichterman has a lot more to bring to the program he chooses.

"I'm would say I'm very versatile," Sichterman said. "I can drop into coverage as well as stop the run. I will also play tight end at school this year. I would also say I am a good leader on and off the field."
