Story by Micah Gabler
Wednesday was the first day college basketball coaches got to contact underclassmen and Ball State contacted several. One of those players was 2018 6’3 Guard Eric Hunter of Indianapolis Tindley Prep, who received an offer. Eric goes in depth about the offer and more.
I asked Hunter what it meant to be offered by Ball State and here is what he had to say
“Honestly I was really surprised by the offer," Hunter said. "I didn’t really expect it, but I was really excited by the offer.”
Hunter does want to visit sometime soon, but there are no specific dates yet. Hunter said that “the consistency with keeping in touch with me” is what is sticking out in Ball State with him right now.
There were many schools that contacted Hunter some include: Butler, Xavier, Michigan, Michigan State, Indiana, Western Illinois, IUPUI, and plenty more all contacted him on the first day coaches were allowed to contact the class of 2018.
Hunter wants to improve on getting stronger and work on his ball handling. Hunter brings intensity, and his playmaking ability is second to none.
Hunter seems to be very interested in Ball State, and Ball State seems to be very interested in Hunter.
