The Ball State coaching staff has picked up recruiting activity recently including offering several players in the Class of 2018, one of those players is South Bend (IN) Riley standout Shamar Dillard. I had the chance to talk to Dennis about the offer and more.
The 6’5 wing was very excited by the Ball State offer.
“It felt amazing getting the offer," Dillard said. "And I know someone that played at Ball State so I am familiar with the Staff.”
The 6-5 SF Dillard has many things he is looking at in a school.
“I want to play for a hardworking coach, and I want to go to a team that I can bond well with," Dillard said. "And a team that can push me to be the best player on and off the court.”
Plenty is sticking out at Ball State, and he does want to visit soon.
“The team is definitely building something great there, and they have also offered some of my teammates," Dillard said. "So it is great knowing I could play with some of my teammates right now at the next level.”
Dillard brings a little bit of everything on the court, from his lockdown defense to his athleticism on both ends, Dillard would be a good get for the Cardinals 2018 class.
