Michigan DB In Attendance for Homecoming

2018 Michigan DB prospect among the players in attendance at Homecoming for Ball State.

Ball State and Head Coach Mike Neu welcomed in a large contingent of players from multiple classes on Saturday for the Cardinals Homecoming game against Akron.

Among those in attendance was 2018 DB prospect Marcus Remtema.

"It was good," Remtema said. "I loved the coaching staff. Super upfront about recruiting. Awesome fans. So far, my favorite visit."

Remtema, a 6-0 185 S/DB from Rockford (MI), had a great experience in Muncie and came away most impressed with the staff.

"The coaches for sure," Remtema said of what stood out the most. "The campus was super pretty. Great fall day. When we first got there the coaching staff was interacting with everyone. I spent a lot of time with Coach (Keith) McKenzie. And some time with the Defensive Coordinator (Tim Daoust). Coach McKenzie was very upfront about me. Saying that the day before they were talking about me coming down. Ball State sees me as a safety more than a corner. I would also say the Coach Neu's presentation was really up. They seem like they have a lot of energy in the program. If I got offered by them that would be amazing."

Remtema statemd that he has also made visits to Akron, Central MichiganMichigan State and plans on going to Miami (OH) soon.

"I think I bring energy to the field," Remtema said regarding why schools are recruiting him. "I play very physical. I like to hit. I bring emotional, love getting my team pumped up. A lot of people consider me a leader.  And I really just have a love for the game."
