Cardinals get visit from Cincinnati Area Prospect

Ball State hosted several prospects for their Tuesday night game against Western Michigan.

Despite the outcome on Tuesday night, Ball State and Head Coach Mike Neu were able to host and impressive several prospects from the 2017 & 2018 classes. Among the prospects on hand was 2018 DE Seth Blackwell.

"It went really well, I liked the game day atmosphere," Blackwell said. "The facilities were amazing and the coaching staff was great. It was a family like environment, and I like that."

Blackwell, a 6-4 222 DE from Cincinnati Walnut Hills, spoke highly of the facilities at Ball State and the staff.

"What really stood out to me were the state of the art facilities," Blackwell said. "I love the new weight room and locker room. I was able to briefly speak to Coach Neu and Coach (Tilmon) Clark. I also spoke to Coach (Ben) Armer and I was very impressed by the strength and conditioning program."

Aside from the Cardinals, Blackwell is also hearing from Iowa State and plans to visit the Cyclones in the near future.

With two programs already checking out the DE, there are sure to be several more programs inquiring about his services.

"Definitely my technique," Blackwell said of his skill set. "I've never been the strongest or fastest, but I feel every time that I step on the field, there is nobody that has crafted their technique more rigorously than me. I put a lot of attention into the little things, and I feel that's what separates my game from other players."
