Cardinals Kick Off 2018 Recruiting In a Flurry

The Ball State Football Staff unloaded a slew of offers of 2018 recruits the past 2 days

Up until December 14th, the Ball State Coaching Staff had largely been quiet on the recruiting front for the Class of 2018, but that all ended in a flurry over 2 days in which the Cardinals handed out 29 offers.

The Cardinals made their presence felt in 5 separate states over the two days, offering targets in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan and Georgia. Ball State was the most active in their home state, offering 12 Hoosier state players. Following up from there was Michigan with 7 offers, Illinois with 6, Ohio with 3 and 1 from Georgia.

In Indiana, Ball State offered three players from alone from Indianapolis powerhouse Ben Davis in RB Johnny Adams, ATH Reese Taylor and DE/OLB Willie Ervin. Ball State also offered Bloomington South RB Kristian Pechac, Indianapolis Decatur Central RB Tyrone Tracy, Indianapolis North Central DB D.J. Johnson, Mishawaka Penn TE Anthony Torres, Indianapolis Cathedral LB Hugh Davis, Lowell S Jordan Jusevitch, Fort Wayne Luers WR DaShon Bussell, Indianapolis Bishop Chatard DE Will Kellison and Zionsville OT Bennett Clark.

In Michigan, offers were extended to Saline teammates LB C.J. Gildersleeve and OT Dimitri Douglas, Gibraltar Carlson ATH Jaylan Franklin, West Bloomfield WR Taj Mustapha, Rochester Adams DB Vincent Gray, Northville WR A.J. Abbott and Muskegon QB La'Darius Jefferson.

The Illinois offers were extended to Chicago Marist teammates DE Gavin McCabe and TE T.J. Ivy, Wilmette Loyola Academy OT Charlie Gross, Hinsdale Central TE Matt Bjornson, Homewood-Flossmoor LB Mario Wright and Palatine Fremd TE/DE Will McCabe.

In Ohio, the Cardinals offered Dublin Coffman LB Jeslord Boateng, Franklin RB Ryan Montgomery and Cincinnati St. Xavier DE Blake Bacevich.

The Cardinals also offered Douglasville (GA) Alexander LB Aaron Casey.
