Ball State picks up commitments from a pair of prospects

Ball State once again tapped into the talent of Georgia to add two more big time recruits.

To say that the Ball State Cardinals coaching staff has developed a strong pipeline to Georgia is an understatement.

The Cardinals had already received commitments from 6 players from the Peach State and they added two more over the past week.

On Thursday, the Cardinals picked up a commitment from Stone Mountain (GA) Stephenson WR Khalil Newton.

Newton, a rangy 6-2 185 WR, picked the Cardinals after decommitting from Western Kentucky. He also had offers from NC StateKentuckyWake Forest and Toledo among others. The commitment of Newton means that 3 players from Stephenson will be suiting up for the Cardinals next season.

The Cardinals weren't done yet for the week, on Friday, Ball State added a commitment from Acworth (GA) Allatoona LB Michael Robinson. The 6-1 210 Robinson, picked the Cardinals over offers from IndianaTulaneAppalachian StateGeorgia SouthernOhio and Miami (OH) among others - 15 in total.

With the two newest commitments, the Cardinals now have 8 players from Georgia in the Class of 2017 and may not be done - one player, current Charlotte commit DE Christian Albright and North Cobb LB Jai Erwin still hold offers and could still commit.
