Cardinals add to amazing recruiting Weekend

Ball State's great recruiting weekend was made even better with the addition of two more big time commitments.

The final weekend of recruiting for Ball State was a great one.

Not only did the Cardinals secure a commitment from LB Shahid Reece, but they added two more commitments - from Grovetown (GA) WR Justin Gibbs and John Curtis (LA) DT Poni Tu'uta.

Gibbs, a 3-star WR, is the 10th commitment from Georgia in the 2017 class for Ball State and is also a teammate of fellow commitment Verenzo Holmes. At 6-2 195, Gibbs is another big target to add to an amazing haul of receivers coming in with the class.

Gibbs picked Ball State over offers from Iowa, IndianaMississippi StatePurdueWake Forest and a whole host of others.

Tu'uta was the 2nd New Orleans area recruit to commit on the day and the first with direct ties to LB Coach Johnny Curtis. The 6-4 290 DT hails from John Curtis Academy in River Ridge (LA) where he played for Curtis up until he left to join the Ball State staff.

Tu'uta has great size and athleticism and can play multiple techniques up front.
