Cardinals the 3rd Offer for Michigan DE

Ball State became the 3rd Mid-American Conference School to offer the standout Michigan DE.

Bloomfield Hills (MI) DE Jack Sape has seen his recruiting heat up recently. Late last week, the 6-4 240 DE picked up his third offer from a Mid-American Conference School, this one from Ball State. The heat continued on Monday when he added an offer from Army West Point

"Receiving a Ball State offer is amazing to me because they were always one of my higher choices for the MAC," Sape said. "I'm extremely interested and excited about it."

Sape, who held offers from Central Michigan and Buffalo at the time he added the Ball State offer, enjoyed his visit to Muncie to take in spring practice at Ball State.

'After going to just one of their spring practices I truly saw that they have a lot of talent and experience in the players and in the coaching staff," Sape said. "They are a very fast paced and skilled team and they go hard on every play. I think the staff is pushing the team in a good direction and you can really tell they want to win and succeed next season after seeing how hard they work."

Sape is not done either, with the four offers already in hand, he is still hearing from several schools.

"I have very high interest in all of them (schools that have offered), including Ball State. Other schools that are recruiting me right now are Syracuse, Michigan State, Cincinnati , and other MAC schools."

There is a lot to like about Sape. After posting 14 sacks and 65 tackles as a junior, the big DE has the size, athleticism and skill that projects a high future ceiling.

"I am a fast, smart, and high motor defensive end," Sape said. "I don't stop until the whistle blows and I go 100% no matter what. I have quick feet so I can elude offensive lineman very easily by using numerous moves and overall am a great leader on the field."
