Highly Recruited Georgia LB

A look at the 27 players added to the Ball State roster on Signing Day 2017

WhoMichael Robinson

High School: Acworth (GA) Allatoona

Current Height/Weight: 6-1 205

Current Position: LB

Other Offers: Appalachian State, Buffalo, Charleston Southern, UT-Chattanooga, Coastal Carolina, Elon, Georgia Southern, Indiana, Kent State, Mercer, Miami (OH), Ohio, Samford, Southern, Tennessee Tech, Tulane, Western Carolina

Analysis: Fast, athletic, high motored and a hitter. Michael Robinson received so much interest from colleges because he is a legitimate prospect that has the ability to contribute right away for Ball State. Robinson shows great speed in pursuit and has the motor to track down from behind and not give up on the play. Robinson is also a very effective blitzer. He shows the ability to get skinny and leak through creases in the offensive line and attack the QB. An explosive hitter, Robinson will only continue to develop his hitting as he puts on weight in college. Robinson shows good ball skills and the ability to cover when needed.

Outlook: The sky is the limit for a player that had offers from all over D1 including the Big Ten. Robinson will play right away, whether it is in relief in the LB corps or as a runner/hitter in special teams coverage. He has so much talent and athleticism, he has the potential to be a very good player for the Cardinals.
