Ball State the First Offer For Georgia DB

Ball State offered a Georgia DB Prospect while on visit this past weekend.

It is easy to say that Jayden Patterson had a pretty solid visit to Ball State this past weekend.

The 6-0 185 DB from Lawrenceville (GA) Mountain View picked up his first offer - from the Cardinals - during his trip north to Muncie, IN.

"It feels amazing," Patterson said of the offer. "I can feel myself being one step closer to accomplishing my dream of playing college football."

Patterson was able to take in the sights and sounds of the Ball State football program and came away impressed with the experience.

"I love Ball State, the whole program is like one big family," Patterson said. "It's definitely a place I can see myself playing. I enjoyed the visit, what stood out was the atmosphere at practice, it was a fun, competitive atmosphere but at the same time they were still getting after it."

With one offer in hand, it is safe to say that more will be coming in for Patterson who lists interest from the likes of Appalachian State, Air Force, Mercer, Georgia State, Tennessee State and Vanderbilt.

"I believe I do a really good job of playing the pass and have great natural timing playing over top," Patterson said of why schools are interested in him. "My top end speed, combined with my technique allows me to be a shutdown coverage cornerback at the next level. Capable of guarding any type of receiver."
