Who: Hassan Littles
High School: Stone Mountain (GA) Stephenson
Current Height/Weight: 5-11 176
Current Position: WR
Analysis: Littles is a gifted athlete. No doubt about that. Now as he enters college, the former two-way player will be able to concentrate solely on one side other field (offense) and learn completely how to be a WR. We view Littles as a Slot that will eventually see time on the edge as well as he gets stronger. Physically though, we aren’t worried about Littles, he is strong and he is shifty quick with a great burst and amazing body control. As a slot, he will be able to work the short and intermediate routes and destroy opposing nickel and safety defenders. Littles can also run sweeps and screens. Littles has also worked as a wildcat QB and may see time there as well, giving the defense different looks. Added to Littles’ value is his ability as a punt return man. His burst and change of direction skills will bode well on punts. As a receiver, Littles shows great hands and ability to track and adjust to the ball in the air. His ability to change direction quickly helps him create space quickly which will translate excellently in the SLOT poisition.
Outlook: With all of the talent coming in at Wide Receiver in this class, it will be hard to stand out early and get quality reps, but we see Littles as a guy that will be able to do just that. As he develops in the Ball State offensive system, we expect very big things from Littles. In the short term, he will see time as he battles incumbent SLOT Corey Lacanaria and redshirt Freshman Wyatt Plate for playing time and reps..
