Coaching Staff Starts Week With A Flurry

The Ball State Coaching Staff sent off a flurry of offers over Monday and Tuesday.

It wasn't just a few offers, it was 21 offers. And it wasn't just one state, or region even, it was 6 different states from the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast.

Over the course of 2 days of action, the Ball State Cardinal Coaching Staff went on the onslaught, offering a whole slew of 2018 talent in hopes of adding to the class.

Let's break down the offers by state:

Michigan

The second day of activity ended with the offer of Bloomfield Brother Rice DE Mike Laurencelle, his first offer. The Cardinals also extended an offer to mammoth OT Jimmy Bell of Arthur Hill High in Saginaw.

Ohio

Ball State also handed out a first offer to Lewis Center Olentangy Orange DB Jayden Rodgers on Tuesday. The Cardinals also offered a pair of standout DEs in Mason Copley of Aurora and Davion Tyson of Delphos Jefferson. WR Tye Evans of Macedonia Nordonia and Bedford DB Kevin Brewer also picked up offers.

Louisana

Ball State went heavy in the boot - offering a total of 4 players from the New Orleans area and one from Baton Rouge. The Cardinals offered a trio of New Orleans Landry-Walker standouts in FS Jomond Foster, DB Tywan Francis and DE Josh Smith. They also offered WR Yo'Heinz Tyler of Warren Easton Charter and DT Kyron Mims of Woodlawn in Baton Rouge.

Georgia

The Cardinals are hoping to keep the Georgia Pipeline that served the 2017 Class so well flowing by offering 7 players from the Peach State the past two days. Heard County DB/WR Jaden Moreland started things off, followed by an offer going to  Norcross NT Nazir Sy. The Cardinals then offered Luke Johns of Southeast Whitfield County and DB E.J. Thomas of Atlanta Carver. The Cardinals finished up by offering Stockbridge DB Nasir Greer and Acworth Allatoona DE Royce Francis.

Missouri

The Cardinals offered just one player from Missouri, but it was a big one, literally, in 6-8 OT Nick Williams of Ritenour.

Pennsylvania

Finally, the Cardinals dipped into the Keystone State by offering DT Logan Hawkins of Penn Trafford and McKeesport RB/S Johnny Harper.

Stay tuned as we do interviews and post as many stories as possible on these new prospects in the Cardinals pipeline.
