Typically wide receivers don't also line up at defensive end.
But that is exactly what Macedonia (OH) Nordonia WR Tye Evans does. The 6-0 225 WR is also a standout DE and he bring that physicality and intensity to the offensive side of the field.
This past week, Evans, picked up an offer from Ball State, his 4th offer from a Mid-American Conference school and 5th overall
"I don't know much about the program," Evans said of Ball State, "But I look forward to researching more about the university."
Along with the Cardinals, Evans holds an offer from Kent State, Akron Bowling Green, and Notre Dame College along with interest from Michigan State, Miami (OH), and Pittsburgh. He hasn't completely made up his plans for the summer, but knows of at least two camps he will hit.
"I will go to the Pitt camp and the Michigan camp for sure," Evans said. "Not sure what visits, but definitely will be visiting."
Evans isn't all just muscle and strength, he has good speed and excellent hand as well. He is also versatile and can line up in a multitude of positions - from WR, Slot, H-Back, FB or RB on offense and DE or LB on defense. He also states that he has plenty of other traits as well.
"I bring an edge and some intensity to the game and to a program," Evans said. "A killer instinct attitude, but also able to have fun and bring a fun influence."
