Driscoll Catholic High School is Addison, IL is noted throughout the nation as a powerhouse of prep football. Boasting 6 consecutive Class 4A State Titles in Illinois, you would think college coaches would be lining up for the talent at Driscoll. But alas, that is not the truth, one such player – LB Kevin Palermo – who boasts nice size and speed, is still searching for that elusive Division 1 offer.

"Currently I seem to have a lot of interest from Illinois, Northwestern, Purdue, Indiana, Kansas and Ball State." Kevin said. "But no offers from them yet. I do have an offer from Western Illinois."

Palermo has helped Driscoll to a great start to the 2007 season and they stand 5-0 after a victory over Immaculate Conception.

The 6-1 225 Palermo says he is currently getting the most interest from Ball State, a school not far from Addison, located in Muncie, IN.

"The coaches seem very positive and I think their interest in me is sincere," Palermo said. "I would love to play football for Ball State. I have been there twice and I have also gone to their summer football camp. I have toured the campus at Ball State. The facilities are first rate, they have revamped their stadium and playing field, and the campus has a great feel to it."

As for what kind of school Kevin is looking to attend.

"The factors that will lead me to pick a particular school are: getting a great education, feeling at home/safe/comfortable at that school and being at a school that has a great tradition. My dad has always said ‘go to the school and not the football program'."
