Stafford keeping options open

Kenny Stafford might be playing in a different offense this season, but it hasn't stopped the offers from pouring in. Stafford, though, is keeping his options open as his De Sales team marches through the Ohio playoffs.

According to first year Columbus, OH (De Sales) coach Ryan Wiggins, his star WR Kenny Stafford sits tight with a ton of midwestern offers. Stafford, a 6-3 175 WR, has gained offers from almost every Mid American Conference school, including Ball State, and also boasts an offer from Indiana. But also according to Wiggins, Stafford is keeping his options open and is waiting until after the season to make his decision.

Stafford hasn't posted eye popping numbers this season (barely more than 20 receptions), but that is mainly due to Wiggin's change to an option attack.

"Kenny has caughtless passes this year because of the nature of our offense," Wiggins said. "But he has done a great job when called upon, and his downfield blocking has been excellent."

Currently, De Sales sits at 12-0 and ranked #1 in Ohio. They defeated Canfield last week in the Ohio State playoffs and are poised to play Louisville Friday night.
