Ball State RB Receives MAC-POTW Honors

Ball State Senior and anchor in the backfield,MiQuale Lewis,had yet another stellar performance earning him MAC-Offensive Player of the Week Honors in the Cards' 42-20 win over foe Indiana.

MUNCIE, Ind. - Junior h-back MiQuale Lewis (Fort Wayne, Ind./Snider) of the Ball State University football team has been named Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week. The announcement was made by the league office today.

This is the second time in Lewis' career he has received the MAC Weekly accolade.

In Ball State's 42-20 upset over Big Ten foe Indiana, Lewis scored four touchdowns while gaining a career high 166 yards helping the Cardinals to their best start (4-0) since the 1988 season when they were 5-0. The four touchdowns ties the Ball State single-game school record. Lewis also tallied his third straight 100-yard rushing game.

Ball State football will host Kent State for its 82nd Homecoming Game Saturday at Noon. The game will be televised on ESPN Plus.
