Ball State verbal commits head into season

Ball State fans can now track the senior campaigns of the Class of 2010 as football season's across the Midwest get into full swing. Ohio and Illinois High Schools officially kickoff their seasons this weekend while Indiana and Kentucky schools roll into week two, here is a preview of who is playing were.

For the first time this year, all 13 commits will be in action with games in 4 different states. Big games abound for Ball State verbal commitments in the Class of 2010, but two biggest might be in Illinois and Ohio where national powers take the field.

In Chicago this weekend, Nathan Ollie and his Mount Carmel Caravan will take the field against Chicago Simeon is an epic battle against two of Illinois top teams. The game will be played at Chicago's Soldier Field.

Ohio's top game with a Cardinal connection is probably is Moeller vs. Winton Woods. Moeller and TE David Schneider will face off against one of Cincinnati's top city schools at the University of Cincinnati.

Also in Ohio, two Cardinal commits will square off against each other as Brandon Neal and Lakota West will travel to Northmont to take on Quinton Cooper and Clayton.

Other games include Odis Prunty and St. Edwards traveling to Mentor for a great rivalry game to start the season. Derek Orr and Smithville will start their season at Manchester High. Tyler Obringer and Spencerville travels to Indian Lake. Dakota Anderson and Xenia will be at home against Dayton Carroll. Also, Anthony Stryffeler and Padua Franciscan will travel to Olmsted Falls and Jack Tomlinson's Westerville South squad will be in action at Hilliard Davidson.

In Indiana, Garret Mack and his Class 5A No. 2 ranked Center Grove team will be in action against Indianapolis Pike. Also, Phil Dudley and the Class 5A No. 3 Ben Davis will be taking the long drive up to Mishawaka to take on Penn.

Finally in Kentucky, JC Wade and his Madisonville North Hopkins teammates start off their season with a game at home versus Webster County.
