Ball State gets verbal from Ohio QB

Ball State got some good news today as the Cardinals received a verbal committment from one of Ohio's best kept secrets at QB.

Keith Wenning wasn't the starting QB at Coldwater High School in Ohio until this, his senior, season, but through a strong performance last year in spot duty, a great showing in camp at Ball State and an impressive senior season, the Cardinals offered the 6-4 225 QB. And now he has verbally committed to the Cardinals.

Wenning, who played the most last season as a WR/S/LB/P, has had a strong campaign this season. He has passed for over 1,850 yards with a 68-completion percentage and 20 touchdowns to 7 interceptions. Wenning also has ran for 426 yards and 4 scores, while leading Coldwater to a 7-1 thus far.

Wenning has chosen the Cardinals over an offer from Air Force as well as interest from several MAC schools.

Stay tuned to as we track down Wenning to talk about his decision.
