Ball State inks two hoops recruits

The Ball State Men's Basketball team and head coach Billy Taylor announced the signing of two players in the class of 2010. Adding depth to both the front and back court.

Ball State signed Matt Kamieniecki, a 6-7 205 PF, and Marvin Jordan, a 5-11 165 PG, to letters of intent for the class of 2010 during the early signing period. The school announced the signings Tuesday.

Kamieniecki, the son of former New York Yankee pitcher Scott Kamieniecki, averaged 13.0 ppg in leading his Clarkston (MI) High School team to a state semifinal appearance in Class A as well as a 24-2 overall record. Kamieicki chose Ball State over offers from IPFW and Western Michigan as well as interest from several other programs.

Jordan, who is described as a pass first PG, has helped Peoria Manuel (IL) to back to back conference and sectional championships as well as a berth in the 2008 Class 2A State Championship Game. As a Jr., Marvin averaged 11 ppg and 4 apg and has been tabbed as one of the top 25 recruits in the class of 2010 by

Jordan, chose Ball State over interest from Illinois State, Evansville, Western Michigan, Niagara and Southern Methodist.
