Ball State hosts junior day

Ball State hosted 15 junior prospects Saturday during spring practice.

In what has been called, a very spirited day of practice, Ball State showed off it's 2010 team to a group of 15 senior-to-be prospects as part of junior day.

As the current Cardinal players worked their way throught the practice schedule, the team was able to show of with a strong performance and spirited effort in front of the group of would-be future Cardinals.

Headling the class were three of the Cardinals top prospects, all of whom already hold offers, in Bellbrook (OH) DE Bryan Baird, Indianapolis Cathedral OT Ted Karras and Cincinnati Oak Hills MLB Ben Russell.

Baird, a 6-4 215 athletic, edge-rushing DE, holds offers from the Cardinals as well as Toledo, Ohio and Air Force.

Karras, a 6-4 282 OT, who has great bloodlines as his father and uncles were all outstanding football players in college, has offers from the Cardinals as well as Florida International.

Russell, a 6-1 215 MLB, holds offers from Ball State and Akron.

Stay tuned to as we continue to report on the spring practice tilt and keep you informed on recruiting efforts.
