Trawick To The Big East

Jabril Trawick will lace them up in the Big East. The talented guard made his pick on Sunday.

John Thompson and his staff reeled in their first commitment of the 2011 class on Sunday.

Prior to leaving campus, while on his official visit, Jabril Trawick, of Jenkintown (Pa.) Abington Friends School, gave Georgetown an oral pledge.

"The exposure, the coaching staff and the good group of players that I will be playing with," Trawick said when asked about his commitment. "When you think about it Georgetown is legendary and has so much tradition."

Florida State was heavily in the mix and he also had scholarship offers from LaSalle, Fairfield, Drexel, Robert Morris, Delaware, Richmond, and VCU.

"I would be dumb not to mention the great academic program that is is," Trawick said about Georgetown. "Also everything I need to be successful as a basketball player is here."

A three-star prospect, Trawick is a 6-foot-4, 180-pound do-it-all guard.
