Gonzaga Scores One From Canada

Kevin Pangos, a standout at Newmarket (Ont.) Dr. John M Denison, made his college decision. He will play in the WCC.

Gonzaga dipped into Canada and snagged Kevin Pangos on Tuesday.

"The coaching staff has been great," Pangos said. "I love the coach staff. They have a great list of point guards. The opportunity to play right away. I think I can become the best player possible at that school.

Pangos, a 6-foot-1, 165-pound guard, said he also considered Michigan, Virginia, Boston College, Notre Dame, UNLV, Cincinnati and Temple.

Pangos visited Gonzaga in August and he feel in love with the campus and the coaching staff.

"I loved it," Pangos said. "The campus was nice. They treated me great. There weren't student on campus because it was summer, but I really liked it."

"Their style of play I really like as well," he added. "The way they really try to develop their players [played into it]. They aren't just in it for the short term."

Pangos is Gonzaga's fourth verbal commitment. He joins Ryan Spangler, Kyle Dranginis and four-star guard Gary Bell.
