Harrison Makes Decision, Headed West

DeMarcus Harrison took a handful of official visits and on Thursday opted to make his decision.

DeMarcus Harrison's decision is in.

After taking official visits to Clemson, Florida State and BYU, Harrison, who is Mormon, settled on Cougars.

David Gaines, of Arden (N.C.) Christ School, confirmed the news to Scout.com.

"They really put a lot of effort into it," Gaines said. "His religion certainly was a factor but at the end of the day he fell in love with the coaches and the setting. At the end of the day, they play a style that is up his alley."

Harrison, a 6-foot-4, 175-pound wing prospect, averaged 12.5 points and five rebounds a game as a junior. He is rated as a three-star prospect on Scout.com.
