Ridley Has Long List Of Offers

A year ago there wasn't much information out there about Cameron Ridley. Now he's one of the nation's hottest targets.

Cameron Ridley, a standout at Richmond (Tex.) George Bush, is starting to figure out the recruiting process.

"I'm starting to get a good feel of it," Ridley told Scout.com. "At first it was a lot, but I'm starting to get settled in."

The truth is Ridley didn't have much of a choice. Following a big time summer, where Ridley, a 6-foot-9, 260-pound big man, shot up the charts and into the national top 10, he scored a bunch of offers.

Among the schools that offered are Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Georgetown, North Carolina, Utah, Arizona, Kansas and Kansas State.

Ridley, the No. 6 player in the 2012 class, has taken an unofficial visit to Texas. Next up is Texas A&M. He'll visit them this coming weekend. He also plans to go to Oklahoma later this month.

Getting the early unofficial visit seems to have put Texas at the top of Ridley's list. He cited their family atmosphere as one of the major reasons he likes the Longhorns.

"I really like Texas right now," he said. "When I went on the visit they had a bunch of other recruits there and they made everybody feel like they are a family already. I like their coach and all of the people there."
