Bolden Pops During Madness Festivities

Brandon Bolden, a junior post prospect, opted for a Big East program on Saturday.

From the start of Brandon Bolden's recruitment, Georgetown appeared to be at the top of his list.

On Saturday while at Georgetown for their midnight madness festivities, Bolden, a 6-foot-9 post prospect in the 2012 class, gave John Thompson III a verbal commitment.

"I just knew in my gut that it was the spot for me," Bolden told Scout.com. "I loved the staff, the environment and the people and they make me feel at home."

Bolden said he also entertained scholarship offers from Florida, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Baylor, VCU and Georgia.

"Just how genuine the staff was and the fit for me," Bolden added on his recruitment. "You can't go wrong with Georgetown."

Bolden is Georgetown's first commitment for the 2012 class.
