Irvine Gets Key Commit
Mark Hill, 6-5 SR PF Las Vegas (Nev. ) Bishop Gorman, has committed to UC Irvine. Hill was the surprise of the Las Vegas Holiday Prep tournament. While he'd shown flashes of ability in the summer, he was also twenty pounds heavier. He lost the extra weight after the summer and emerged a different player in December. He's much more explosive now and very skilled with the ball. He'll shoot the three, find open teammates or put the ball on the floor and get to the basket. He's a very versatile player and should be a key component for the Anteaters in the coming years. Other schools in the mix included Santa Clara and Portland. Hill took visits to all three schools before making his decision.
