WVU Snags 2nd PG In As Many Days

Just a day after Ryan Boatright picked the Mountaineers, Jabarie Hinds did the same.

In back-to-back days West Virginia scored point guard prospects.

On Monday it was 5-foot-11 lead guard Ryan Boatright that committed to West Virginia. On Tuesday, Jabarie Hinds was the guy making the decision.

Hinds, of Mount Vernon (N.Y.) High, confirmed the news to Scout.com.

"It was the best decision for me," Hinds told Scout.com. "The atmosphere is great the coaching staff is great and that's where I feel I'm safe."

Hinds, a four-star prospect, also considered a handful of schools, including Connecticut, Oklahoma State, UCLA and UNLV.

To go with Boatright and Hinds, Bob Huggins also has commitments from Tommie McCune, Pat Forsythe and Aaron Brown.

Hinds is rated No. 13 at the point guard spot and No. 79 overall.
