"I loved everything about [Clemson] from the coaching staff to the players to the whole atmosphere and how everybody just loves Clemson," Sapp said. "It was just a great place and a situation."

Sapp, who had a wide range of college interest, said he considered Murray State, Western Kentucky, Old Dominion, Nebraska and others.

Per Sapp, the Tigers coaching staff played a big role in his decision.

"It seems like they got close knitted real fast," he said. "They seem like they are all cool to the talk off the court and when they are on the court it's all business."

Sapp joins four-star power forward Bernard Sullivan to make up Clemson's 2011 recruiting class.
