Cross Needs A Junior College or Prep School
All Curtis Cross wants is a chance. The 6-1 combo guard from Cincinnati (OH) Princeton isn't going to qualify this year. He has a 2.0 GPA and SAT of 800. He's going to need a junior college or prep school. Either way, he's looking for some help.
Cross averaged 16 points a game last year as a senior and was all-conference. However, he had some differences with his high school coach and his senior year was a little rocky to say the least. "I want another chance," Cross said. "That's all I want. I think I'll do good."
Last weekend in Atlanta, Cross was better than good. "The first game I had 30," Cross said. The second game I had 33, 25 in the third game and I had 35 in the last game. It averaged out to a little over 30 a game."
The kid can play. He shot it to 3-point range and very good at getting to the rack. When his team lost a heartbreaker, he sat stunned on the bench for minutes after the game. He's a competitor.
Hopefully, someone will give him a chance to play next year. College coaches needing his address or phone number should send an email.
