Anderson To The Big East

Kyan Anderon made his college choice. He'll head east to play his college basketball.

The point guard list continues to get smaller, as another top 30 lead guard is off the board.

Kyan Anderson, of Fort Worth (Tex.) North Crowley, gave Keno Davis and Providence a verbal pledge. He confirmed the news to Scout.com.

"I just felt comfortable and believe that Providence is the place where I can be the most successful and just a great situation for me there," Anderson told Scout.com.

Anderson, a 5-foot-11, 150-pound three-star prospect, also considered Ohio State, Mississippi and Bradley.

While on his visit to Providence, Anderson spent quite a bit of time with Davis. The head coach made a strong impression on him.

"It was wonderful," he said of spending time with Davis. "Me and head coach Davis had a great time together so that was really fun getting to spend the days with him."

Anderson is the Friars second 2011 verbal commitment. Markus Crider, a 6-foot-5 forward, is also committed to Providence.
