Shaw Plans To Sign Early

Just four schools remain for Mike Shaw. The top 100 prospect will likely make his choice in the next three weeks.

Signing Day is rapidly approaching.

And much like a handful of other prospects, Mike Shaw, a 6-foot-8 power forward out of Chicago (Ill.) De La Salle is trying to come up with a decision prior to the end of the first signing period.

Shaw has his list down to four schools – Illinois, Marquette, DePaul and West Virginia – and according to Mac Irvin Fire coach Mike Irvin, he's taken visits to all four programs.

"He's taking his time with his decision," Irvin told Scout.com about Shaw. "He's just trying to make the right decision. He's got some good schools he's trying to choose from."

Shaw, a four-star prospect, is one of 20 prospects in Scout.com's top 100 that is still available. But the current plan for Shaw is to be off the board by November 18th, which is the last day prospects can sign in the early period.

"I think he will sign early," Irver said. "I definitely think Mike will sign early. He definitely has his list down to a few schools he's just trying to decide."

Shaw is ranked No. 66 overall and No. 15 at the power forward spot.
