Kabongo Goes Back To Texas

Myck Kabongo is back on board with Longhorns. He gave them another pledge less than a week after decommitting.

It turns out Myck Kabongo is happy with Texas.

After opening up his recruitment a week ago, Kabongo, a standout at Henderson (Nev.) Findlay Prep, decided to give the Longhorns another verbal commitment.

Findlay assistant coach Todd Simon confirmed the news to Scout.com.

Kabongo, a five-star prospect and the No. 2 rated lead guard in the class of 2011, had planned to look at Duke, North Carolina, Kentucky and Syracuse. But he changed his mind and opted to stick with his original choice.

Kabongo rejoins a class that includes three four-star prospects -- Jonathan Holmes, Julien Lewis and Sheldon McClellan.

The Canada native is ranked No. 9 overall in the class of 2011.
