Rankings: Rising Senior Small Forwards

The best player in the west, Evan Burns, tops the list, but the small forward position is easily the deepest on the west coast and some very talented players vie for the next few spots...

Small forward is easily the deepest position in the class, so it's fitting that the best player in they class, Evan Burns, heads the small forward list. He's among the top players at the position nationally as well. Brandon Roy probably is the toughest player to stop driving to the basket on the west coast, with a great first step and NBA-level athleticism. If he gets a consistent shot, he's a top 40 national player. If Josh Rhodes could be more consistent in his effort he'd be #2 and probably the second-best player in the class in the west. Bryant Markson is another who is very talented and, if he could sustain effort, would be among the best in the country as his position. He's more than likely out for the summer with an injured knee. Marquis Kately and Reggie Butler are high-major athletes with varying degrees of skill development. If either of them continue to develop their basketball skills they'll move quickly up this list.
