Jovance Coleman Could Be a Sleeper

One player that we've been hearing some hype about being much inproved is Fresno shooting guard Jovance Coleman - but we haven't had the chance to see him due to an injury...

Jovance Coleman, 6-4 JR SG Fresno (Calif.) Hoover, is somewhat of a sleeper in the west and a recent injury kept him out of the Mats Madness Memorial Day tournament, further limiting his exposure.

Jovance told us recently that Oregon St., Wisconsin and New Mexico are among the schools recruiting him.

We asked if he had a leader and Jovance replied, "probably Oregon St. -- I'd love to play in the Pac-10. I'm close to my mom and I'd like to stay in the West."

We asked if there were any schools he'd like to hear from and Jovance said, "Arizona and Arizona St. Also Temple -- I always liked them growing up. John Chaney is a great coach."

Jovance said that he currently has a 2.5 GPA and is awaiting results from a recent attempt at the SAT.
