Henry Has Trio On Top

Jarion Henry will not sign during the early signing period, but three schools have really asserted themselves in his recruitment.

The early signing period will come to an end on Wednesday, and one of the top players available afterwards will be Jarion Henry. The three-star forward has decided to wait it out and see what options come his way in the spring signing period.

Playing for an absolutely loaded team at Dallas (TX) Kimball High School, Henry simply feels that he will have plenty of exposure and more options available to him by waiting.

"After this season when we win state and I develop more, I just think I will have more options and more coaches will see what I can do," said Henry. "Because of that I just want to wait it out."

Even though Henry is planning to wait, and sees himself having more options in the future, he does know the three schools that stand out the most.

"I am thinking about Oregon, USC, and Marquette right now," listed Henry. "Those are my top three."

One school in particular is in his mind as a leader.

"If it comes down to it, and USC gets off of probation, I think USC will be my number one," said Henry. "That is where I want to go. I have wanted to go there since I was little."

He continued about the Trojans, "I went on an unofficial there, and it was my first unofficial visit. It was real cool out there. I haven't spoken to them too much, but I know the coaches talk to my uncle a lot and my coaches."

While USC might be the team he dreams of playing of, Oregon and Marquette are making it a difficult decision.

About Oregon, Henry said, "They have called me, and they are on me good. I am really thinking about them."

Marquette has had a lot of success in Texas recently, and Henry says the Golden Eagle staff is coming after him hard. "Marquette comes up to the school and they are definitely in there strong with me."

Aside from recruiting, Henry has his thoughts on the season. In fact, Henry has extremely high hopes for the year.

"I just expect us to execute and win it all," said Henry. "We should go 40-0 with the team that we have."

At the moment Henry has no visits set up, but he plans to try and see the places recruiting him the hardest before he makes a final decision. Henry just hopes it will happen after the state championship game.
